Stylish 1950’s black suede framed evening bag with black silk handles. The frame is silk covered and the handles are attached to decorative gilt bamboo rods. The gilt clasp has also been fashioned in the shape of a small length of bamboo. The silk lining is a contrasting pale salmon pink and there are two slip pockets and two further hidden pockets between the inner frame and suede outer. The label of the bag has come away, but it is clearly high quality. Generally it is in very good condition. There is no wear to the handles. There is very little wear to the fittings, the pale silk lining does show some signs of use and has discoloured slightly. There is some wear and marks to the corners and bottom edges of the bag, please see photographs. Measures: width 23cm, height 16cm and depth 4.5cm. Handle drop to bag 16cm.
