A 1960's beautiful quality white leather framed vintage handbag, made in England by Waldybag (whose hand painted satin evening bags were popular with the British royal family).
This stylish handbag has an understated elegance, with lots of subtle details: unusual fan shaped gold tone fittings, partially leather covered frame with a white leather inlay across the top, and a feature double clasp (which is pushed together to open the bag).
Inside, the bag is lined in soft beige suede. There are three open pockets and a zipped pocket. The original mirror is present, still in its waxed paper.
The handle of the bag is just long enough for it to be worn on the shoulder.
This bag is in very good condition, particularly so, given its colour. The lining and base are clean and unmarked and there is only the slightest wear at the corners. There are a few light scratches and indentations to the leather, slight wrinkling on the handle and at the sides and slight wear to the inside of the frame in a few places.
Measures: width 23cm; height 22.5cm; depth 5.5 cm; handle drop 19cm.
