Stylish 1960’s small white patent leather framed boxy handbag, with silver tone hardware. Made in England by quality maker Widegate of London (they made handbags for Harrods and other high end department stores). The front, back and base of the bag are glossy white patent leather, the sides and top are an off-white leather. The general condition is very good. There is slight wear and tarnishing to the fittings and some minor wear and marks to the bag and some creasing to the sides and handle (please refer to photographs). The snap closure is tight. The base is clean and unmarked; there is only the very slightest of rubbing to the corners. The handbag is lined in suede, which shows only slight signs of use. Inside there are two open pockets and a zipped pocket.
Measures: width 21cm; height 16.5cm; depth 8.5cm. Handle drop is 10cm to top of bag.
